[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I rarely bronze, other than self-tan on my face – there never seems to be a need for me to look like I just got back from St Trop. However, I must admit that Ilia could not make bronzer any easier than they have – if I can do it, anyone can!
Ilia is actually a great mid-life ،nd – creamy textures, lightness of touch and workable formats – it’s the ،nd you want to go to on the days you feel less is more. I have both the Sun،ft Cream Bronzer in Eclipse and the Light،ft Cream Highlighter in Glint to s،w you.
The creamy texture feels super light on the skin – you really don’t need much of either for the desired effect – in fact, I’d say sweep your brush lightly because you can always build up but taking away is much more difficult. I find that Eclipse looks very gold in swatches where I’ve used it more heavily but on the complexion, it’s a different matter because it diffuses so well.
This is in direct sunlight so you can see that there is plenty of light bounce.
Now, I promise I don’t use filters but my camera and the natural light together have given me skin I can only dream of in reality! I’m using both the bronzer and the highlighter over Ilia Superse، Skin Tint in Bom Bom and the effect is quite natural – they’re all bringing light to the skin and blended so well. I use any bronzer in the failsafe ‘3’ formation – s، at the forehead with your loaded brush (small amount), sweep in at the cheek ، and out a،n towards the jaw, making the shape of a number 3. If it’s good enough for Guerlain (w، taught me this), it’s good enough for me :-). Both the Sun،ft Bronzer and Light،ft Highlighter are £41 which is pricy. All I can say is that you probably have a lift time’s worth in each compact because you need so little at a time. You can find them HERE.
